Young father-child relationship pattern and nutrition status among under-five children in Jember Regency, Indonesia

The younger age of fathers will affect the pattern relationship between and their children, particularly in terms nutrition provision children under five years. objective this study was to identify measure correlation nutritional status Jember Regency Indonesia. A cross-sectional conducted from September December 2019. participants were 39 young aged 17-19 years who have an infant 0-5 They recruited using total sampling technique. Respondents’ characteristics child-parent relationships measured a questionnaire. Chi-square test used analyze data. Among fathers, father high (56.4%). Meanwhile, good (48.7%). Furthermore, there significant father-child among (χ2= 11.83; p<0.001). higher relationship, better (OR= 12.0; 95% CI= 2.5-57.4). is related children’s status. Therefore, fatherchild should be well-maintained fulfill needs under-five children.
